Block orders & exclude items from withdrawal
Exclusion rules let you control exactly which orders and items can be withdrawn through your withdrawal form. This prevents, for example, in-store purchases, deliveries outside the EU, or personalized items from being withdrawn online.
Where do I find the settings?
In the Revoq app, open Settings → Form and scroll to the “Exclusions & blocking” box (right below Verification).

Each option first shows only a short description. As soon as you enable it, the relevant detail fields expand. All rules are enforced server-side – even if a customer tries to bypass the form.
Block entire orders
Blocked orders show your customers a clear message instead of the item selection. No withdrawal is created. You can edit the messages shown in the form editor, section "Error and notice messages" (at the bottom).
POS / in-store orders
Enable “Block POS / in-store orders” so purchases created in a store via Shopify POS cannot be withdrawn online.
EU/EEA delivery addresses only
Enable “Only allow EU/EEA delivery addresses” if you also sell outside the EU. Orders with a delivery address outside the EU/EEA then cannot be withdrawn online – the statutory right of withdrawal doesn’t apply there.
By order tags
Enable “Block orders with specific tags” and enter the tags you want to block in Revoq (separate multiple with commas), for example no-online-withdrawal. Orders carrying at least one of these tags are blocked. Matching is exact (case-insensitive).

Exclude individual items
Excluded items stay visible in the form but are not selectable and show a note. If every item in an order is excluded, no withdrawal can be submitted.
By product tag
Assign the product tag in Shopify (default: revoq-no-withdrawal) to any product that is generally not withdrawable: open the product → “Tags” field on the right. Enter the same tag name in Revoq under “Exclude products from withdrawal” (or keep the default).
By order property
Perfect for personalized items: create a rule such as property Monogram equals Yes. Only line items with exactly this property are excluded – the same product without the property stays withdrawable. You can add several rules.

Individual variants
Enable “Exclude individual variants”. Revoq automatically creates the field “Excluded from withdrawal (Revoq)” on your product variants in Shopify.

How to set it in Shopify:
- Open the product and, under “Variants”, click the variant you want.
- On the variant page, scroll down to the “Metafields” section.
- Set the “Excluded from withdrawal (Revoq)” field to “True”.
Only that variant is excluded; all other variants of the same product stay withdrawable.

What do your customers see?
- Excluded item: greyed out, with a note, not selectable.
- Blocked order: a clear, translated message instead of the item selection.
You can customize these texts per language in the Form editor.

Traceability
When a withdrawal is created with excluded items, you’ll see it in the withdrawal’s timeline – including the reason (e.g. “Monogram = Yes”).
Good to know
- For reliable blocking, we recommend also enabling “Only allow verified orders” – otherwise the block only applies to clearly matched orders.
- POS orders completed as a draft via “mark as paid” aren’t detected as POS – use an order tag for those as well.
- As long as no rule is active, nothing changes for your shop.
