Only Allow Verified Withdrawals

Strict verification makes sure that only withdrawals with a verified Shopify order can be submitted. The feature builds on Order Matching and is available in the Professional plan. If the order number and email address do not match a Shopify order, Revoq stops the form flow.

What Strict Verification Does

Without strict verification, Revoq also accepts withdrawals that appear as unverified or not found in the dashboard. This is the default behavior because a withdrawal should not automatically fail just because a customer mistyped something or used a different email address.

With strict verification enabled, this changes: only withdrawals with the match status verified go through. If Revoq cannot find a matching Shopify order, the withdrawal is blocked.

The match levels are not explained again here. If you want to review the difference between verified, unverified, and not found, start with: Order Matching: Recognize Withdrawal Orders.

When You Should Enable It

Strict verification is useful if:

  • you often receive incorrect or incomplete withdrawals
  • your shop sells higher-value products
  • you want to reduce misuse or identity mix-ups

It may not be useful if:

  • your customers often mistype order numbers or email addresses
  • your order number formats vary, for example after a migration
  • your support team wants to accept unclear cases first and review them manually

Watch your dashboard for 2–4 weeks before enabling this. If unverified or not found withdrawals are below 5 %, blocking them may not be worth the customer friction.

Enable Strict Verification

  1. Open Revoq in your Shopify admin.
  2. Go to Settings → Form settings → Verification.
  3. Enable the toggle Allow verified orders only.
  4. Click Save.

Strict verification is currently available in the Professional plan.

What Customers See When a Withdrawal Is Blocked

If a customer enters an order number or email address that does not match a verified Shopify order, Revoq stops the flow with a red error message. The customer does not reach item selection or confirmation and needs to correct the details before trying again.

The current English error message is:

“We could not find an order matching these details. Please check your order number and email address. If the problem persists, please contact the merchant.”

Do not enable strict verification without testing it first. Submit a test withdrawal with a wrong email address or order number so you can see what customers experience in the worst case.
