What is Revoq? Shopify withdrawal button app

Revoq is a Shopify app for EU merchants who need to prepare their shop for the new electronic withdrawal access requirements from June 19, 2026. Revoq supports you in embedding an electronic withdrawal form, confirming incoming withdrawals, and managing them in Shopify.

Why Revoq exists

Article 16a of the Consumer Rights Directive, as amended by Directive 2023/2673, introduces new requirements for online withdrawals. From June 19, 2026, affected shops must provide a clear electronic way for customers to submit a withdrawal request.

For Shopify shops, this means the withdrawal access needs to be visible in the storefront, clearly recognizable as a withdrawal option, and structured enough to guide the customer through the declaration. After submission, the customer must receive a confirmation of receipt.

A generic contact form is often not enough for this purpose. It is usually not designed specifically for withdrawals and may lack clear labeling, a structured withdrawal flow, explicit confirmation, and a suitable receipt confirmation.

Revoq is a tool for the technical implementation. Whether your shop meets the requirements also depends on placement, wording, legal texts, and your internal process.

What Revoq does for your shop

  • Revoq embeds an electronic withdrawal form in your storefront: as a dedicated withdrawal page, a section button, or a floating button.
  • Customers go through a two-step flow: enter their details, review the information, and explicitly confirm the withdrawal.
  • After submission, Revoq automatically sends a confirmation email with the receipt timestamp and reference.
  • Order Intelligence automatically links withdrawals to Shopify orders when the order number and email address match.
  • The dashboard lets you view, filter, process, and internally track incoming withdrawals.
  • The form and confirmation email support 24 EU languages, so customers can use the withdrawal flow in their language.
  • Revoq supports GDPR-related data handling with a DPA and configurable data retention.
  • Depending on your plan, additional features include CSV exports, order tagging, PDF exports, Customer Account integration, and Shopify Return Requests.

What Revoq does NOT do

Revoq does not provide legal advice. The app can support the technical implementation, but it does not assess whether your legal texts, processes, or specific storefront placement fit your business.

Revoq does not provide a compliance guarantee. The merchant remains responsible for implementing the requirements as a whole, including legal notices, internal handling, and operational workflows.

Revoq does not automatically refund orders. Even if Revoq links withdrawals to orders or creates Shopify Return Requests in higher plans, review, refund, and further processing remain your responsibility.
